Life And Such

  So I haven't blogged for a while, so here's to catching up!

I had the greatest suprise birthday party EVER!!!!!!! I've always wanted a suprise birthday and I finally got one after 20 years! YAY and the best part was that I got to spend my birthday with most of my friends. Although I'm still adjusting to the fact that I didn't share my birthday party with my brothers (we are triplets after all) I still enjoyed it a ton! I can't believe I'm 20 years old...I'm no longer a child or a teeenager...that's awesome! I think my mom and dad probably cried when they went to bed and it really sunk in that their little babies are now adults. Awe that's cute! Anyway thanks to all who came...it's not a party without people!

Other things that are happening in my life...

School and homework...Chi Alpha and Core...and trying to figure out a general Idea of what my future consists of.

So far, I've concluded that I'm going to go scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef in Austraila, I'm going to get married and have kids (I have no idea when though), I'm going to travel and see the world because there's more than Sagebrush and Tumbleweeds...although I don't see myself living in an extremely large city with no mountains. I miss the mountains. I miss just walking out the front door and hiking up a ways to the creek and listening to peace. That's what I dislike about Laramie. There aren't any quiet places to just get away. I'm going to have a happy life with those I love. That's the most important, because the only things you can take to Heaven with you are relationships.

So this is Trish's version of the "Manly Man" speech. I think It's amazing!

 

Girly Girl

Do not let my strong voice or full figure lie to you, I am a girly girl.

I watch chick flix’s, if they’re not too sappy.

I would talk about my car, but I don’t want to, for I am a girly girl.

Yes I do play video games with the boys, but I let them win, sometimes.

I am a girly girl, because I wear dresses, but only when I feel like it.

I can admit when I am wrong, but that is only when I am wrong.

I wear pink because I like it! (And all my other clothes are in the wash)

Men break up with me first! I do not break up with them! (Except for the last time, he had to go!)

I am a girly girl!

Or am I?

I mean I tell my girls that I love ‘em and I even hug ‘em.

And sometimes when I find them lying on the couch, I snuggle with ‘em.

I tell them they are beautiful and worth far more than rubies.

I stand up for them, I’ll fight for them.

Win or loose I’ll be there for them.

For I am a girly girl!

I still call my father “daddy” and I still run to greet him and hug him when he comes home from work.

If you talk bad about my family I’ll let you know “how it is!”

My heart flutters when that cute somebody walks through that door, but he’ll never know!

For I am a girly girl.

I long to be loved and to have love, and not just that romantic kind either, although I am looking for that hunk to rescue me.

But let him know that I am NOT helpless.

Like in Proverbs 31 I would love to follow that woman.

For she is the girly girl, for which her children and husband call her blessed.

I want to have Ruth’s loyalty, to stick by my friends till the bitter or rejoiceful end.

I want the strength and courage of Ester so that I can stand up for my Lord, when the time comes.

For I am a girly girl, and my beauty should not come from outward adornments, but from a gentle and quiet spirit which is of great worth in God’s sight.

I will submit and obey my husband, not because I have to but because I want to.

You ask any woman and she’ll let you know, and any man will agree with the show that I am a girly girl!

What Equals 100%? What does it mean to give MORE than 100%? Ever wonder about those people who say they are giving more than 100%? We have all been in situations where someone wants you to give over 100%. How about achieving 101%?
What equals 100% in life?

Here's a little mathematical formula that might help you answer these

The DUCK and the DEVIL

The Duck & the Devil

There was a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm.  He was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods. He practiced in the woods, but he could never hit the target. Getting a little discouraged, he headed back for dinner. As he was walking back he saw Grandma's pet duck.

Just out of impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in the head, and killed it. He was shocked and grieved

In a panic, he hid the dead duck in the wood pile, only to see his sister watching! Sally had seen it all, but she said nothing.

After lunch the next day Grandma said, "Sally, let's wash the dishes." But Sally said, "Grandma, Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen." Then she whispered to him, "Remember the duck?" So Johnny did the dishes.

Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing and Grandma said, "I'm sorry but I need Sally to help make supper."
Sally just smiled and said," Well that's all right because Johnny told me he wanted to help." She whispered again, "Remember the duck?" So Sally went fishing and Johnny stayed to help.

After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally's he finally couldn't stand it any longer.

He came to Grandma and confessed that he had killed the duck. Grandma knelt down, gave him a hug, and said, "Sweetheart, I know. You see, I was standing at the window and I saw the whole thing, but because I love you, I forgave you. I was just wondering how long you would let Sally make a slave of you."

Thought for the day and every day thereafter?

Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done... and the devil keeps throwing it up in your face (lying, cheating, debt, fear, bad habits, hatred, anger, bitterness, etc.)...whatever it is... You need to know that God was standing at the window and He saw the whole thing... He has seen your whole life. He wants you to know that He loves you and that you are forgiven.

He's just wondering how long you will let the devil make a slave of you.

The great thing about God is that when you ask for forgiveness, He not only forgives you, but He forgets... It is by God's grace and mercy that we are saved.

Go ahead and make the difference in someone's life today. Share this with a friend and always remember:

God is at the window.
